Chicago-based designer with almost two decades of creative experience, bringing a wide skill set to nearly every level of client and in-house activation across media, advertising, and brand development. From building teams that execute the job with high proficiency and speed, to being hands-on with the smallest technical details, I love a fresh challenge and being a problem solver. You may also remember me from the “Coworker With Two Computer Screens” photo and yes, I’m currently up to four monitors.
My career:
Since 2013 I’ve worked with marketing agencies like Upshot, Amp, In Marketing, and Advantage Unified Commerce on brands such as Starbucks, Google, FIFA, Johnson & Johnson, Subway, P&G, Capital One, Neutrogena, Amway, Corona, Tylenol and Band-Aid among many others. Retail activations with these brands involved working with Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, BJ’s as well as grocery chains like Kroger, Publix and Giant.
Responsibilities across all these clients were both wide and deep. From concepting, iterating, execution and production, I was in charge of every step of the process of brand marketing. Selling in new ideas was only the first step, and I made sure that every piece of digital and print content was built to the highest standard for our clients. I worked with vendors to make sure that our experiential campaigns became successful including on-location setup and pre-event marketing. I built teams for new clients, hiring experienced designers and setting up workflow systems to meet their needs and deliver fast-paced, exciting work.
Before being a full time agency member I worked a variety of print shops and small design services before joining the satirical newspaper The Onion and it’s sister media organization, The A.V. Club. This was a scrappy, small team that all contributed to every part of the publication. I was responsible for publishing the weekly print edition (yes, that long ago), designing for our advertising clients, building web content and producing graphics for the daily articles, which ignited my love of having a hand in every stage of the process of building something, from the initial idea to the final QA check.
